Basically, these houses can be classified into three main categories:
Controllable houses: the inhabitants can control the devices in a more advanced and efficient way than in a normal contemporary house.
Programmable houses: it allows to program the house, thus it will only be necessary the ignition, the shutdown or to configure some devices in special conditions.
Smart houses. This group is very similar to the previous one with a small exception: there will be no need to program any functionality because the house will do it by itself. The environmental intelligence of the house will observe the inhabitants in their daily life, looking for actions that are repeated. After a pattern has been identified, the house will auto-schedule itself so that the next time it recognizes the scenario, the house will automatically turn on or turn off certain equipment. Two subclasses are distinguished that are identical to those of the programmable houses.
